Project Details: For International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month, the QuickBooks team partnered with illustrator Vivian Shih to bring our content vision to life. A QuickBooks-commissioned survey found that funding remains a challenge for women-owned small businesses. Our goal for this content is to provide resources for women entrepreneurs, helping bridge the gap for three specific segments: aspiring entrepreneurs, freelancers, and established women-owned small businesses.
We collaborated with Vivian to develop illustrations that reflected the theme of International Women’s Day, “Embrace Equity”, and incorporated the official colors of purple, green, and white. We ensured the final assets were inclusive, reflecting the diversity of our audience with a wide range of skin tones, body types, and ages.
Vivian created several illustrations that we used across the blog and social channels. We also leveraged her Procreate files for paid social videos on Pinterest to drive traffic to the blog post. Additionally, we produced a video interview with Vivian so our audience could learn more about her art.
