Aliya Bora is a multimedia storyteller who loves working on projects that combine her skills in media and design. She currently works as a news writer & freelance producer on TV & digital projects.
Prior to this, she was one of four people in the U.S. selected for an exclusive fellowship with NBC Universal, where she worked on the CNBC shows Squawk on the Street and Squawk Alley. Aliya also worked as a segment producer & news writer for FOX 5 San Diego (KSWB-TV) on their AM and PM newscasts.
Aliya worked in healthcare market research before transitioning into media. She holds a Master’s in Journalism from Columbia University, and a B.S. in Neurobiology from the University of Texas at Austin. She is a proud graduate of San Diego City College’s Radio, TV, Film and Graphic Design programs. In her spare time she enjoys painting & designing art with watercolors, yoga, traveling the world, and reading good books.
