ISIS Hotel & Resort is a high-end luxury hotel brand that fuses ancient Egypt and five star amenities into a one-of-a-kind experience. Catering to upscale clientele and Egypt-lovers alike, guests of the resort can take a trip back to ancient Egypt without leaving the United States.  The Palm Springs location offers a desert backdrop and customized packages for guests who want to immerse themselves in a cultural experience.


My childhood trip to Egypt was one of the most memorable experiences of my life. From visiting the museums and taking camel rides into the desert to see the pyramids, I could see there was no other city in the world like Cairo. The area is unique, as a bustling metropolis set against the backdrop of the ancient pyramids.  I wanted this fusion of old and new to translate into the branding. Egyptian mythology is known for symbolism and heavy use of pictography and hieroglyphics. The brand identity had to marry Egyptian mythology with modern luxury. 


Isis was one of the most revered deities in Egyptian mythology, which is why she was chosen to represent the hotel. As the goddess of magic and life, she was the best fit with the brand ideals. I paired the slab serif typeface Helium Serial with a pictorial representation of Isis for the final logo.

Sandy neutral tones channel the style of ancient Egypt, as well as hints of gold that allude to the luxurious vibe of the hotel. Intricate die-cuts and gold embroidery on the branded items reflect the elegance of ancient Egypt.
